1. Fill out.
   
   Fill out the necessary information in EON’s online application found UnionBank’s website: www.unionbankph.com. After filling out the application, you will be receiving an SMS and email notification of your reference number and selected UnionBank pick-up branch. Please take note of this information.
2. Visit.
   
   After receiving your SMS and email notification, you may immediately visit and present your reference number to your selected UnionBank pick-up branch. (Link for list of current pick-up branches)
   
   EON Visa Debit Cards that were applied through the online application are initially available at the following branches. More UnionBank pick-up branches will be available soon for your convenience. 
3. Submit.
   
   Please prepare and submit the following account opening requirements: P350 for your first annual fee, the original and photocopy of one (1) valid photo-bearing ID (list of IDs)
4. Enjoy!

It took me around 1 week to have my EON Debit Card get verified with Paypal. I had to scour the Internet for tips, call PaypalCustomer Service, call the Unionbank branch that issued my EONDebit Card all within a week until I was able to add my Debit card and finally lift the $0.00 withdrawal limit.

Here’s what I did and it may help you solve your problem if you are also encountering I and many others have encountered with the Debit Card verification.

1. On Your Profile, Click Add/Edit Bank Account. Follow the instructions and enter the appropriate information.

• Card. Select VISA. 
• Card Number. This is the 16-digit number printed in large bold numbers across your card.
• Expiration Date: Type in the indicated date opposite the Valid Thru label in your card.
• Security Code. It’s the 3-digit number at the back of your card.
• Review all the information you entered and then click Confirm

Now, we’re through with the easiest part. You’ve added your bank account. But, you can’t withdraw yet. In order to withdraw, you will have to be verified. To be verified, you need to successfully add your EON Debit Card.

2. On Your Profile, Click Add/Edit Credit or Debit Card or Simply click the Get Verified link opposite your Status. Enter your EON Debit card Information.

• Account Number. The bank account number is the 12-digit number below your name in your EON Debit Card.
• Bank Code. Unionbank Code is 010419995.
• Review all the information and then click Confirm.

It was here in Step 2 that I encountered problems. For days, I kept trying to add my debit cardbut Paypal keeps returning a message that Unionbank is denying my debit card. Did you encounter the same problem, too?

It was only after going through Paypal and Unionbank customer support that I finally figured out what went wrong. Unionbank did not tell me at first. I was only advised to deposit Php100 to my EON Debit Card. Php100 wasn't enough I found out.

Here’s what you should do before you even start Step 1 and Step 2 to avoid EON Debit Carddenial by Paypal.

Pre-Step 1 To dos:

• Sign up with EON CyberAccount at Unionbank online site. You will need to sign up using your card number or a username and your EON Debit Card PIN.

• After you signed up, wait for 2 days before you log in to your EON CyberAccount – Unionbank needs at least 2 days to process your inclusion to its database of CyberAccount holders.

• Deposit at least Php300 to your EON Debit Card.

Do these three points right after you receive your EON Debit card so you won’t have to wait too long to start Step 1 & 2. After finishing the first two Pre-Step 1 to dos, wait for 3 days and start Step 1 & 2.

Login to your EON CyberAccount. If you were able to log in, that means your EON Debit card is already added to Unionbank oline database.

Now, let’s go back to your EON Debit card Verification with Paypal.

1. Follow Steps 1 & 2 as stated above. Hopefully, if you followed my instructions, you won’t encounter anymore problems with Step 2.

2. After you finish adding your EON Debit Card, there’s still one last step to do. It’s confirming your EON Debit Card through a 4-digit code.

3. To get your 4-digit code, login to your EON CyberAccount. Check your Transaction History. If you see a Paypal transaction listed with a label similar to this: “VISA-PP*4566CODE SG (405)”, copy the 4 numbers before the “CODE”. These numbers are your 4-digit code.

If you still don’t see a Paypal transaction in your Transaction History, check back within 24hours.

4. Go back to your Paypal account and Click the Confirm Credit/Debit Card link at the right side of your Accounts Page.

5. Enter the 4 digits and you’re done.

Confirming my EON Debit card didn’t take me 24 hours, it just took me minutes. It’s best to add your Debit Card during banking hours so you’ll finish adding and confirming it much faster rather than wait for the standard 24 hours.

After confirming your EON Debit card, you can now withdraw funds from your Paypal account to your bank account or debit card without with a higher withdrawal limit of $500 daily.
