5 Healthy Foods for Instant Energy
WATER It doesn't come with any slick advertisements or cutesy cartoon characters to sell it, but plain old H2O is one of the quickest energy boosters out there. When kids become dehydrated, their energy plummets and their brain gets foggy, which makes it hard to concentrate. How to get them to drink it: Kids often don't realize when they're dehydrated, so keep water handy and offer it often, especially if they've been playing a lot or have been out in the sun. Skip flavoring packets, which are often full of artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavors. You can try adding a squeeze of lemon for flavor, but I've found that most kids don't like any "floaties" in their water. The trick is in the packaging-let your child pick out a fun water bottle (they can even decorate it themselves with permanent markers) or stock up on twisty straws and funny ice cubes. You'll be amazed at how much water they'll drink. Related: 4 Foods to Eat for a Healthy Smile OATMEAL
How to Be More Successful in 2014
One of my favorites websites to visit
A job interview can be a stressful event. But when a potential employer asks unlawful interview questions, things can go from stressful to illegal. The legality of interview questions is based on federal and local laws, and questions about specific topics (such as race and religion) have been made illegal due to movements such as the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. If interview questions are relevant to a job, they are usually fair game. If they are not, however, they can be the basis of a Labor and Employment lawsuit, whether the applicant is hired or not.
Although HR departments today should be aware of questions that are prohibited to ask prospective employees, some hiring managers/companies are not so up-to-date. Many illegal interview questions are easily recognizable, but others might come as a surprise.
This question might seem like idle chit chat when getting to know a person, but it could also be used to gather information about the applicant's national origin; i.e. whether he or she is a US citizen. Although an employer can ask whether an applicant is authorized to work in the United States, it is illegal to ask about citizenship.
An employer can ask an applicant whether he or she knows a language if it is required for the job. For example, if job responsibilities require an English-speaking employee to be bilingual, it is legal to ask whether the candidate speaks that language; i.e. Spanish, Tagalog, etc. However, it is illegal to ask an applicant about their native language, as this could be used to establish national origin.
Keeping up Appearances has become a Virtue
On Saturday afternoon I met up with an old college buddy. We had an emotional conversation about a big hurdle he had overcome in his life. It left a big impact on me and I even woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning on Sunday to write this essay about it for you. His story will have a deep impact on your life, too. Buying a home is a life changing event. It is important to prepare thoroughly for each step of the process from setting a budget to closing. If you have questions or need assistance call your LegalShield provider law firm.
Calculate the full cost of buying a home and determine what you can afford. Before you begin the process of looking at homes take stock of your budget. Consider not only the purchase price of the home but the closing costs, moving expenses and any potential repairs. Once you have a budget, stick with it and make sure your realtor knows you are not willing to budge.
FACT IS, WHEN IT COMES TO SEX, AS LONG AS A WOMAN IS vaguely into you, she'll usually want to "continue the evening" and play tonsil hockey, or more, on your couch. But, women also want to be able to save face, be playful, and feel like there is some spontaneity to their decision to go upstairs with you--no matter how premeditated it may be. This, unfortunately, is where most of the head games that occur on a date begin. One wrong innuendo and you are out in the cold, heading home to finish the night with the VCR remote in one hand and Jimmy in the other. Follow our advice, however, and that won't happen.
HOW TO GET HER OVER TO YOUR PLACE (IDEAL IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A MORNING REPEAT):
> BE SUAVE: Ask her. "Want to come up for a glass of wine?" Remembering you only have beer once you get her inside is OK.
